Founder & Managing Director of Systems Thinking Research & Leadership Development Institute (STRLDi), undertaking global work in Systems Thinking, leadership development, research and strategy development. She is a strategy development consultant and practitioner of The Fifth Discipline, working with national leaders and institutions to develop the confidence, capabilities and habits required to make systemic impact on persistent national issues and, in doing so, strengthen the productive capacity of economies.
Her current focus is Africa and Asia, with work extending across national leadership, institutional capacity-building, research, training and practitioner development.
Expertise
A professional and veteran corporate trainer, researcher and strategy development consultant with24 years of practice, specialising in The Five Disciplines and Systems Thinking.
Has conducted training and development for more than 3,000 senior personnel across central and local governments and the private sector internationally.
Has worked with the Government of Botswana in efforts to develop national strategies capable of addressing persistent issues through a systemic approach.
Author of an extensive body of articles and research papers on Systems Thinking, The Fifth Discipline, systemic persistence, national economic development and leadership practice. Her publications form part of the developing knowledge base underpinning STRLDi's international research, training and practitioner-development work.
Completed the first-ever national study using the Five Disciplines to examine persistent national issues on unemployment and diversification of the economy. Her ongoing work in economic pipeline development is attracting the attention of national and regional planning commissions in Southern Africa.
Currently advancing research into systemic persistence through her “Onion” model, while developing international programmes for practitioner development and future postgraduate study in the field.
